Hi. I got a stubborn program on my computer which is difficult to remove. A strange PUP was installed which named SlimCleaner Plus. it may be come with the new player I downloaded days ago. Have already run Malwarebytes and it removed some files and viruses. But when I restarted computer again, it detected some risky files related to pup.optional.slimcleaner.plus. Note: If this software is running on system right now, you need to end its process or exit its program first.
Find its icon in taskbar. (Near the bottom right)
Right-click on the icon and select Exit.
Step one. Uninstall SlimCleaner application from system
For Windows 10 system
Then go to control panel. Simply open the Windows® search bar and search for “Apps & Features”. Or you can just search for the word “Uninstall”.
Find SlimCleaner from list. Select on it first and then click “uninstall” option
Click “uninstall”
Click “Yes” to continue

Step two. Search and delete related files and folders
Click on “computer” icon on desktop, put “SlimCleaner” into search box at the top right corner and search it in “computer”
Delete the files and folders found on results
Select on all items in search result and click “delete” option to delete them.
Click “yes” from the new window. to confirm the deletion.

Step three. Locate and remove associated registry entries
Deleting registry entries from system is an important part. You should be careful in order to avoid mistaken deletion as any improper deletion of registry can lead to worse issues. Thus, if you do not have the ability to manually remove them, you would better uninstall SlimCleaner automatically. Please do not try manually delete registry entries if you are not experienced.
Click start or windows icon, go to search box and put “regedit” into it, search this keyword. After, a program named “regedit” will appear, click it.
Then the registry editor will pop up on screen. Click “edit” option at toolbar and then select “find” option.
